3x3 Spring Fever Edition: Phoenix, Wax on Radio, the Slip

Today is March 23, the 3rd "3" of the month but the first "3" of spring. We welcome the sun, flowers and post-SXSW exhaustion with even more fresh, new music. We start our spring fling with Paris' electro-tinged pop-rockers Phoenix live from Cologne, Germany. Their irresistible melodies are great on record, but the quartet brings it to a new level onstage. Then let's move over to Wax on Radio, who are best known for putting their own twist on the neo-prog mayhem of Mars Volta and the eerie genius of Pink Floyd. See the Chicago outfit impress an adoring crowd in their hometown. In the coveted 3 slot is the Slip, Boston's finest hippie-gone-indie trio, whose 'Eisenhower' album is easily one of the best of 2006. See the fellas jam it out "Guitar-Hero style" live.

3x3 is about to wrap up its 3rd month, so by now we think you know the deal, but we'll give you a brief reminder anyway. It is tri-monthly program that features 3 bands with a 3-question interview, 3 things you need to know about each one and 3 tidbits from the blogosphere. Catch all the action now.
