A 3x3 to Wake You Up: Tegan & Sara, the Cinematics, Mute Math

Daylight savings time coming the week before South by Southwest is a bummer. You'll need some energy to run the SXSW marathon down Austin's famous 6th Street, so we packed our 3x3 with 3 energetic artists to prepare you for the madness.

We kick off the 3/13 edition with a supercharged set from twin Canadians Tegan and Sara, who rev up an adoring Toronto audience with their irresistible hooks and sweet, singer-songwriter brand of rock. Then it's over to the Cinematics, mixing the best of New Wave with a modern Brit-pop twist for a buzzing Amsterdam crowd. Rounding things out in the sacred number 3 spot, New Orleans' electro-rock quartet Mute Math gets down in front of a not-too-hip-to-rock-out Los Angeles crowd.

We know you are sleep-deprived, so here is a quick reminder on what 3x3 is all about. It is tri-monthly program that features 3 bands with a 3-question interview, 3 things you need to know about each one and 3 tidbits from the blogosphere. Catch all of the action here.
